A widow had a beautiful daughter, who was ready for marriage. Her mother demanded a dowry of 50,000. Many men proposed to her with less, but she declined them all.
One man said to the widow: “My son will marry your daughter for 10,000 and I will marry you for 10,000.”
The widow smiled and agreed!
The daughter questioned her wise mother’s decision, so her wise mother explained:
